The man, who was an employee of the private Western Australian scaffolding JB Scaffolding, fell 4.5 metres while taking down scaffolding at the Hay Street site yesterday afternoon.The WA WorkSafe division was onsite soon after the accident, interviewing witnesses and investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.WorkSafe WA commissioner Nina Lyhne said the death was a tragedy, and offered her condolences to the worker’s family.
