VWMA to host hazardous waste breakfast seminar

The Victorian Waste Management Association (VWMA) in conjunction with associate member and event sponsor Russell Kennedy Lawyers is hosting a special breakfast seminar to update members and industry participants on the current hazardous waste issues in New South Wales and Queensland, and how these issues may present in Victoria.

The seminar will furnish attendees with important information on managing risk along their supply chains, providing members, associate members, and other stakeholders with the opportunity to engage with experts on these and other industry issues.

“The Association has received numerous queries about how issues in NSW and Queensland might manifest in Victoria and the breakfast will provide important information and updates,” said VWMA Executive Officer Mark Smith.

“We’re delighted with the support received from Russell Kennedy Lawyers and look forward to remarks from Principal Stefan Fiedler on the day.”

“Managing the risks and challenges around hazardous waste can be complex,” said Fiedler, “Russell Kennedy has worked successfully with both the VWMA and its members, as well as with the EPA, for many years. This event will be a great opportunity to ask questions, get timely information, and to learn more about how things may pan out in Victoria.”

The Breakfast is being held at Russell Kennedy Lawyers, Level 12, 469 La Trobe Street, Melbourne on Thursday 28 March from 7.15am.
