The new models – the LS-B100, LS-B110, LS-B110W and the RD-100W – replace the outgoing LS-B2 and B4 models.“The LS-B100 series is ideal for dozers, box blades, excavators and backhoes, incorporating unique features, such as on-grade matching and wireless capability, providing unmatched performance on any job site,” said Topcon national sales manager Neil Other. A key feature of the LS-B100 sensor series is that each unit is easy to move from machine to machine, Other said. Topcon said the new series also provides flexibility in matching functions to a customer’s requirements and applications. “If all you need is an ‘indicate only’ style of sensor, then the LS-B100 is the receiver of choice, while the 110/110W models can run as ‘indicate’ sensors or as automatic machine-control systems when combined with a Topcon control box,” said Other. In addition, the RD-100W receiver allows for in-cab on-grade matching and on-grade accuracy adjustments (dead band) and two-way communication between the receiver and the remote display. Features found in the LS-B100 family include: Large working range Most accurate receiving resolution yet Wireless display capability On-grade matching function Plumb indication CAN compatibility Four selectable dead bands Universal pole clamp In addition, the units use standard off-the-shelf rechargeable or alkaline batteries.
