Fiori distributor Semco says the easy to operate mixers present an ideal opportunity for quarries and aggregate suppliers to add value to their products by offering a rental service to contractors.Semco’s Graham Murphy says Fiori equipment is particularly useful in country and remote areas where onsite concrete production is a more practical solution than trucking mix over long distances.“Fiori mixers can be supplied from the 1.8 cubic metre capacity model DB180 up to the four cubic metre capacity model DB400S,” he said. “The DB180 is ideally suited to dry hire as it’s a basic, volumetric-type mixer with articulated steering and produces up to 5.4 cubic metres of fresh, high-quality concrete per hour. These extremely manoeuvrable four-wheel drive mixers are also designed for conditional road registration.”Semco says the DB400S can produce almost any type of concrete onsite at the rate of up to 12cu.m per hour, transport it over almost any type of terrain and deploy the equipment through 360 degrees anywhere it is required, often cancelling the need for a concrete pump. The DB400S can also produce a detailed report on each batch for quality assurance purposes using the standard onboard electronic weighing system with printer. To ensure critical optimal quality of the mix, all models feature onboard water pumping systems and accurate water dosing measurement via a digital preselector panel. The compact model DB250S (2.5cu.m capacity) and the DB400S have their own onboard water reservoir and filtered pumping system that can store enough water for three batches.
