E-waste recycling processor, Sircel, has added to its leadership team as the business enters an ambitious new phase of growth.
Brendon Wright joins Sircel as the company’s new chief operations officer, where he will oversee the rapidly expanding operational footprint. Wright brings 30 years of experience working in operations and manufacturing leadership. His experience aligns with Sircel’s focus on optimising processes to meet the growing demand for e-waste and solar panel recycling solutions across its seven sites in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
Angie Bradbury, previously Sircel’s marketing and strategy director, has joined the Board of Directors and appointed Chairperson. With extensive board experience across many sectors and having long been a part of Sircel’s journey, Braadbury brings invaluable insight into corporate governance and will drive the strategic and commercial direction.
Since its founding in 2018, Sircel has been diverting up to 100 per cent of end-of-life electronics from landfill. The Australian-owned green technology company partners with major corporations and councils nationwide to ensure e-waste is responsibly recycled onshore and valuable commodities are fed back into the circular economy.
Sircel Founder and CEO, Anthony Karam, says these new leadership appointments are a pivotal milestone in the business’ evolution.
“As we look to the future, we recognise that success at Sircel will not only require advanced technology and infrastructure, but also a leadership team focused on driving innovation and delivering results at scale,” said Karam. “These appointments are designed to meet today’s challenges and prepare the business for tomorrow’s opportunities.
“With their combined wealth of experience, Brendon and Angie will ensure Sircel remains at the forefront of our industry. They will drive corporate and operational excellence and support sustainable growth as we scale our operations. ”
“I’m thrilled to be joining at this stage of the business, especially with the growing demand for responsible e-waste recycling in Australia,” said Wright. “I’ll be leading an efficient scale-up to meet market and government needs and ensuring our management and leadership practices stay strong as we grow. Making a meaningful, long-term impact on Australia’s circular economy is our top priority.”
“In my time at Sircel, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication to innovation and sustainability that fuels our success,” said Bradbury. “I look forward to this new chapter of the business and driving the strategic and commercial direction. It’s a very exciting time for our business, and we remain as committed as ever to driving the circular economy for electronic waste. I’m confident that we are at the cusp of seeing a genuine circular economy for e-waste being realised – one where e-waste is recognised as valuable e-resources not something to be buried in landfill.”
