Agenda available for AWRE Summit

The Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE) 2024 Summit agenda is now available online, with a focus on transitioning to a circular economy by addressing the main challenges to success.

Sponsored by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (NSW EPA), the one-day event on July 24 will cover a range of industry issues, such as end markets and exports, the difficulties presented by batteries and contaminants, and the current obstacles to achieving waste and residual management targets essential for progressing towards an Australian Circular Economy. The summit will feature two keynote speeches and three expert panels, discussing both the challenges and potential strategies for collaboration and overcoming these obstacles. AWRE Summit tickets include access to all panel sessions on July 24th, the AWRE exhibition on July 24th and 25th, catering, and will conclude with networking drinks on the show floor.

“My favourite takeaway from attending the AWRE conference, and the thing I am looking forward to most, is the discussion across a whole range of topics, issues, and most importantly, solutions. It’s through these diverse and insightful conversations that we can collaboratively address the critical challenges in the waste and recycling sector, fostering innovation and driving impactful change,” said AWRE Summit Speaker Brett Lemin from the Waste Contractors And Recyclers Association of NSW & ACT.

Education is key to better recycling and waste reduction. By sharing ideas and networking, the industry can inform each other, regulators, and the public through collaborative campaigns. These conversations are crucial for addressing challenges, fostering innovation, and driving impactful change.”
