US company Tiresocks Inc says scissor lifts are essential for construction sites and for use on interior projects during inspections and last minute installations.However, when used on a finished floor a scissor lift’s rubber wheels can scuff and leave track marks.To combat the problem, Tiresocks came up with its namesake product which is designed with heavy-duty fabrics and made to fit any tyre size.“They are easy to install, don’t slip off during operation, and they self-centre when driven,” Tiresocks said.“Budget and time constraints on a construction project may make it impossible or impractical to refinish a floor. This is one reason why companies try to avoid damaging the finish in the first place.”According to Tiresocks its product is usable on most forms of rubber-wheeled construction equipment.
