NEWEST & BRIGHTEST: ACE will be hotter than a northerly

Legendary brands such as Kubota, Case, JCB, Bobcat, Sumitomo and Kobelco will be on display so there will be no shortage of quality machinery to check out at ACE. And with new machines not exactly rushing out the showroom doors right now, we can confidently predict there will be some tempting deals on offer too.Talking of big names in construction equipment, Komatsu is one of the biggest and Komatsu Australia will showcase some important new models at ACE.Komatsu made its name in heavy equipment but new mini excavators and rubber track loaders will take the ACE spotlight, underlining the growing importance of the compact equipment segment. The new Dash 3 mini excavator range comprises five models – the PC18MR-3 (1780kg operating weight), PC30MR-3 (3140kg), PC35MR-3 (3575kg), PC45MR-3 (4755kg) and PC55MR-3 (5160kg).Komatsu says the new models are safer, stronger, more reliable and more productive than the old MR-2 range, while emissions are dramatically reduced thanks to Tier 4-compliant engines. The Dash 3 minis also get Komatsu’s Komtrax remote monitoring system as standard equipment – a first for the manufacturer’s compact range.Komatsu entered the fast-growing rubber track loader market late last year and the new CK25-1 and CK35-1 will be on display at ACE.While the CK25-1 and CK35-1 share many parts with their skid steer cousins, Komatsu says the new machines are more than just skid steers with tracks, with undercarriages redesigned from the ground up.
