One of the contracts is worth $275 million and applies to 130 schools. This work will see Lend Lease – through its subsidiary Bovis Lend Lease – design and construct new facilities and carry out school refurbishments in the Northern Sydney region.The second contract relates to 250 schools in the Hunter and Central Coast region and is valued at $400 million. “Bovis Lend Lease has a demonstrated capability in rolling out capital works programs across multiple locations that deliver procurement, design and cost efficiencies,” Bovis Lend Lease Australia chief executive officer Tony Costantino said.The company was previously the design and construction contractor for approximately 300 new preparatory schools in Queensland and is currently managing contractor for the upgrade of around 600 science laboratories across 105 schools in New South Wales.Work is slated to begin this month and is expected to be completed by December 2010.
