As part of the Pacific Highway upgrade, the Kempsey Bypass Alliance scope of works will include the design and construction of 14.5 kilometres of four-lane divided highway from Kempsey to Frederickton, excluding 2.2km of major bridge crossings of the Macleay River and floodplain.The alliance will now work with the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority to finalise the commercial arrangement and sign a project alliance agreement. Leighton’s share of the work on the project is estimated to be worth about $300 million.
