The 14-man Japanese league team recently sent two key players – Taro Hatamota and Kanno Tatsurou – to spend four months training and developing their skills with the Brumbies rugby union team in Canberra as part of an elite performance services partnership between the Brumbies and the Japanese club. The two men said their time with the Brumbies was beneficial but the cold Canberra mornings were challenging.The Kubota Spears are scheduled to start the 2010 season in August.
