The hirer said the Queensland Government-backed South Bank Corporation was able to remove a fibreglass membrane from two fountains adjoining food outlets with Kennards heavy-duty single phase grinders and large vacuum units.The grinders were fitted with a PCD, which according to Kennards cuts more aggressively than conventional diamonds, removing the fibreglass membrane in a single pass.Franchise Engineering sub-contractor Greg Reynolds told Kennards the PCD grinder made the job much quicker than conventional tools.The large vacuum units are fitted with a silencer to minimise noise in public places and suck up the dust efficiently.South Bank maintenance manager Scott Tweddell told Kennards there were many people enjoying the surrounding parkland as the project work was carried out.“But the equipment worked extremely well, and we had no complaints from the public or the retailers,” he said.Kennards has specialised concrete care branches in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and also delivers nationwide.
