The SEEK Employment Index, which measures the ratio of new job ads to applications, reported a 1.2% fall in new job ads nationally, seasonally adjusted, in November – its sixth straight monthly fall. The number of job applications placed with SEEK jumped 3.3% for the month with WA leading the states with a 5% increase in job applications while the Australian Capital Territory rose 4.6% and New South Wales was up 3.7%.
