JCB Transmissions clocks up 30 years

The JCB subsidiary JCB Transmissions was set up in 1978 with less than 12 employees in a factory on the Wrexham Industrial Estate in Wrexham, Wales.Today, JCB Transmissions employs more than 450 people in two plants covering 41,800 square metres – one manufacturing gearboxes and the other axles. As well as being the main supplier of gear boxes and axles for JCB machines, the Wrexham site is also home to International Transmissions (ITL), which sells transmissions, axles and engine components to third-party customers around the world. ITL was set up in 1985 and works closely with original equipment manufacturers to provide axles, transmissions and engines for on and off highway applications.
