Davis Earthmoving adds to shredder line up

Davis Earthmoving & Quarrying offers modern waste handling solutions through their portable recycling machinery. The company has over 100 pieces of equipment for hire or contract state-wide in NSW; including low speed shredders and high speed horizontal grinders.

The company has been successfully operating for almost 50 years. And the past three decades has seen Davis secure a major presence in the recycling industry, specialising in mobile C&D shredding, green waste recycling, mulching, crushing and screening.

Davis is committed to playing its part in contributing to a circular economy. One of the ways they are achieving this is by continuing to invest in innovative recycling equipment.  Following the purchase in 2021 of their Komptech Terminator mobile low speed shredder, 2022 has seen Davis add another mobile shredder to their fleet. The brand new addition is a PRONAR MRW2.85 twin-shaft, tracked low speed shredder. This model is the newest series of Pronar recycling machinery, placing Davis at the forefront of the industry. The shredder copes well with all kinds of materials commonly found in municipal waste centres, composting and waste sorting facilities. With a Caterpillar engine and hydraulic drive it handles the most difficult to process waste; including mattresses, bulky waste, large-scale construction waste, timber, green waste, pallets, logs, carpet and tyres. The high torque MRW2.85 model has a magnet separator for removal of ferrous fraction from the output material. This ensures a clean end-product. Davis can easily handle difficult materials that once would have been considered unshreddable or not economically viable.

On-site recycling practises and shredding of materials are beneficial to a project’s bottom line, by eliminating unnecessary transportation costs and importantly saving precious space in landfills. Stand-out features of Davis’ shredders are high productivity per hour, quality material output and mobility. Shredders are fully self-contained on their tracked undercarriage. Units can be promptly transported with the company’s own prime movers and have excellent capability for moving directly to materials. Davis provides all support equipment and experienced operators required to load the shredders. The company owns approximately 20 excavators, as well as attachments to shear up any large green waste materials in pre-processing. Additionally, the company has its own service team who conduct regular servicing of machinery and can attend site to quickly resolve issues, ensuring there is no delay in productivity for the customer. It is this kind of service that Davis has a reputation for.

When it comes to questions around difficult-to-handle waste, Davis has the answers. With a strong foothold in the mobile recycling industry, the company is continuing to grow and expand their fleet enabling them to reliably deliver a quality service every time. Davis’ mobile shredding service deals with waste efficiently, as they work to minimise waste for a sustainable future.
