HB100 arrives in Australia

Hyundai Construction Equipment Australia said due to the harsh Australian environment, HCEA had worked closely with the factory in Korea to develop the new backhoe and design it specifically to handle local conditions. The new HB100 features a 70-kilowatt, turbocharged Tier III Iveco diesel engine which drives a four-speed powershift transmission, with a top speed of 37.5 kilometres per hour. The HB100 uses a tandem gear hydraulic pump, with a maximum oil output of 160l/m at 250bar, which is a rare specialty for backhoes in the Australian market. With a dig depth of 5.665m, the HB100 outperforms a number of other comparable backhoes, according to HCEA. It also has the capacity to take a bucket up to 2.36m wide.Operators can control the cabin temperature with an air-conditioning system, and there is also a built-in radio, cassette and USB player, and a tilting steering column.Meanwhile, the operator’s view from the backhoe has been improved through a new slimmer but stronger tensile steel tubing for the cabin. As a result, the windows are larger and lower, and there is a one-piece sliding window.
