Australian family-owned company Davis Earthmoving is celebrating 50 years in business this year. Reaching this milestone demonstrates longevity, stability and enduring success.
Under the leadership of CEO Eric Davis, the company has gone from strength to strength.
Lasting 50 years in business showcases resilience and adaptability, weathering economic changes, market fluctuations, technology advances and heavy regulation of industry and WHS protocols. The past three decades specifically, has secured Davis’ presence in the recycling industry, winning long-term council, government and major project contracts. The company specialises in mobile C&D shredding, green waste recycling, mulching, crushing and screening. It has more than 100 pieces of plant and equipment for hire or contract state-wide in NSW.
The company’s mobile recycling equipment extends from jaw, cone and impact crushers and screens through to a range of half a dozen horizontal grinders and shredders that are highly efficient in tackling difficult-to-process materials. These waste streams include large-scale construction and demolition materials, mattresses, tyres, carpet, bulky waste, landfill waste, green waste, timber, logs and pallets.
Fifty years sees the company accumulate valuable knowledge, experience, and expertise.
“What we have learnt over the years is only something that can be built up over time,” said Davis. “We have a deep understanding of our industry, equipment and customers”.
Over the decades, Davis has built trust and reputation.

“Safety is a priority and we are dedicated to our customers,” Davis said. “We communicate, we honour our schedules and deliver services to an exemplary standard – meeting scope of work specifications on time and on budget.”
Davis has its own fleet of prime movers and floats to ensure there is no delay in transporting machinery to each job. The company has its own service team who are experts in the equipment, carrying out regular maintenance and quick repairs in the field if required.
“We have a commitment to quality,” said Davis. “We have experienced operators and only run reliable equipment, reputable brands and current models, with modern technologies. This allows us to achieve the most efficient material processing, and to provide quality output for our customers”.
Davis is looking ahead to future prospects, continuing with the goal to extend the life of materials for beneficial reuse by using its recycling and resource recovery services.
Davis Earthmoving is currently building a 200,000 tonne per annum state-of-the-art C&D Recycling Facility and Recycled Material Supplies Centre on a 110,000 square metre site in NSW’s Central Coast, just an hour north of Sydney. This State Significant Development requires financial investment to the infrastructure and equipment. It is injecting money into the local economy, generating jobs, and creating an opportunity for a new waste recycling and material supply avenue in the area. It will divert recyclable materials such as concrete, timber, sand and soil from landfills while creating 100 per cent recycled building and landscaping supplies.
“Our aim is to recover materials for repurpose and beneficial reuse,” said Davis. “We’ve been committed to recycling for decades, and will continue to be for decades more to come, striving for zero waste to landfill.”
