BHP lines up NRW for rail work

Perth-based contractor NRW is part of a consortium with John Holland and Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction.The final contract, expected to be worth around $A200 million, is in the final stages of negotiation and will be signed in the near future.The work is part of the $US4.8 billion ($A6.86 billion) RGP5 iron ore expansion project, which will take BHP’s Pilbara capacity to 205 million tonnes per annum from the second half of 2011.NRW had been in a trading halt since April 6, but emerged yesterday, only to fall 10% or 8c to 72c.
