The five-year contract, with a potential three-year extension, is the second largest underground mining contract to be awarded in Australia and the largest ever awarded to Barminco.It encompasses all underground mine operating activities including development and production.Barminco was awarded its first contract at Sunrise Dam in October 2003.The news comes hard on the heels of another contract win for Barminco, a three-year $60 million underground mining services contract for Western Areas at the Spotted Quoll nickel mine near Hyden.
