Senate hearing puts packaging waste on agenda
Revelations at the Senate Estimates Environment hearing held on Tuesday 23 March that regulation of the packaging industry to deal with millions of tonnes of packaging waste going to landfill and into the environment is now firmly on the agenda, is encouraging, said Jeff Angel, director of the Boomerang Alliance, an association that encompasses 55 environmental groups.
