The roadblocks to infrastructure

“Invest in infrastructure,” is one of the catch cries that have been heard over the years in the waste industry. We do have infrastructure – just not enough of it. This is especially so when meeting certain recycling and reuse targets. A government can set targets, but what can you do if there is not enough infrastructure to meet them? Or even more worrying, companies are not willing to invest. This and several other questions were asked of a panel at the Waste 2023 Conference held at Coffs Harbour recently.
